invites you to our PURIM PARTY/OPEN HOUSE

Sunday, March 17, 2019
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Irving Elementary School*
1125 S. Cuyler, Oak Park

Come celebrate Purim with us! We will perform our very funny Purim shpiel, play games at our carnival, and eat lots of sweet treats.
And don’t forget to wear your costume!

We are the Secular Jewish Community & School, a community that welcomes those looking for ways to learn and celebrate Jewish culture, customs and history in a secular, humanistic context.

If you have been curious about us and are wondering if SJCS may be a good fit for you and your family, please come and check us out. Newcomers can meet community members while everyone participates in the festivities. We are a growing and thriving community and welcome all who wish to join us.

We offer classes for pre-K through 8th grade, including bar and bat mitzvah preparation. We also offer an Adult Education program for parents and other adults where history, literature and current events are discussed while the children are in class.

We emphasize the secular, humanistic Jewish values of love of learning, ethical action, tzedakah, social justice, personal responsibility for our actions, pluralism and a rational basis for thought and action.

*SJCS is not sponsored by or affiliated with Oak Park School District 97.
